We are looking for an Academy Nutritionist to support our Academy Performance team on a part-time consulting basis and enhance and deliver a high-quality, age-appropriate nutrition service for U9-U14 Academy players based at Hale End. You will play a key role in strengthening the existing nutrition framework to continue to support the health, development, and performance of our young players. This consultant role will contribute directly to our Academy’s overarching mission of creating the most challenging and caring football academy in the world.

Please note: this position is a consultant role on a part-time basis and is likely to be 2 days per week.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering nutrition education sessions in line with the existing curriculum, enhancing nutrition education for players, parents & guardians, coaches and key stakeholders.
  • Leading nutrition monitoring including food diary analysis and feedback, and influencing nutrition behaviours by being present at key meal and snack times.
  • Managing player and parent/guardian nutrition clinics for both injured and fit players.
  • Contributing to menu planning and the improvement of food provision at Hale End.
  • Liaising with Chefs and our Kitchen team to ensure appropriate nutrition timing and quality, and contributing to the improvement of the Hale End restaurant environment.
  • Regularly communicating with schools to educate and improve nutrition provision.
  • Assisting in organising and arranging food provision for matchdays, tours and tournaments.
  • Attending and contributing to departmental meetings and undertaking any other activities as required by the Lead Academy Nutritionist and Head of Academy Performance.

What we are looking for:

  • Background in elite sport with previous application of nutritional expertise within a professional sport setting.
  • MSc degree in Sport Nutrition and registration with The Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr) to a minimum of graduate level.
  • Excellent communication skills to build impactful relationships and communicate ideas clearly with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Organised and adaptable approach to manage and organise workload with ease.
  • Professional mindset to act as an ambassador for our club and role model the Academy's values as well as the wider club values, operating with discretion and confidentiality.

As someone in a position of trust involving regular, direct contact with children or vulnerable adults, you will be expected to uphold high standards of conduct to prevent abuse, including sexual, physical, or emotional harm. This role requires you to keep updated with both Club and FA Safeguarding training and education.
