The Role
We are looking for anAcademy Goalkeeping Coachtobe based from our exciting new development centre in Northern Ireland.
Our Academy has for many years been a world leader in its field and is a constantly growing department within our club.
In this exciting position, youwill oversee and deliver the training and games programmes for young goalkeepersin the Under 12 – Under 16 age groups at our Academy and you\’ll assist with recruitment from the Northern Ireland region.
You will be required to lead sessions 1 night a week.

Your day-to-day
- Design and present coaching strategies– you\’ll carefully curate innovative coaching strategies for our Academy goalkeepercoaching programme whilst ensuring all plans are implemented within agreed timescales
- Prepare and manage appraisals– you will collaborate with our Academy Recruitment Coordinator to create and submit player appraisals, as required for the Elite Player Performance Plan for our students
- Organise and analyse weekly sessions– you\’ll take pride in planning sessions, creating match reports, documenting attendance and completing reviews
- Manage our equipment– you will be responsible for managing our Academy equipment and you\’ll ensure that everything is fit for purpose
- Conduct vital meetings with stakeholders– you\’ll work closely with the Academy Recruitment Coordinator to conduct mid and full season meetings with players, parents and coaches
- Support the player recruitment process– you will be entrusted to partner with the Academy Recruitment Coordinator and play a key role in determining our retain and release strategies
What we are looking for
- Qualified coach– you come with at least a UEFA Goalkeeper A Diploma (or working towards it)
- Extensive knowledge of the football industry– you possess a deep understanding of our industry and its rules and regulations governing players within it
- Good IT Skills– you\’re confident working with Microsoft Word and Excel to help support you in your role
- Effective communicator– you take pride in your ability to communicate clearly with parents, players and fellow coaches
- Adept at producing reports– you\’ve got a track record of producing insightful written and verbal reports
- Excellent organisational skills– you\’re well versed in prioritising workloads and able to work to tight deadlines
- Proud role model– you\’re able to persuade and influence in your role and you enjoy inspiring young players and have enthusiasm for player and staff development
