Overview

The Role
We are looking for a Content Programming Manager to lead our newly established Content Programming sub-unit, with a sharp focus on enhancing the supporter experience across our evolving digital platforms. Sitting at the heart of our content ecosystem, the role will collaborate with Marketing and Commercial teams to create best-in-class content, product and user experiences. This role will ensure a diverse and compelling owned proposition that drives user retention and growth, while meeting KPIs and maintaining content.

Who we are
We are one of the most famous clubs in world football, with a rich heritage and history. Beyond that, we are passionate about our local community and, behind the scenes, we have a wide variety of opportunities and career paths for all. We have a very defined purpose: to act for a winning team, culture and community. We achieve this by ensuring we are courageous in the pursuit of progress, we champion our community and each other, and that we do the right thing (even when no one is looking).

Your day-to-day

  • Support the delivery of exceptional digital content; ensure a best-in-class content experience across our full content ecosystem, driving synergies between teams and keeping content engaging, relevant and well-presented
  • Content coordination: coordinate schedules and content plans to optimise discovery and user engagement across the platform, working closely with the Content Operations unit on long-term planning
  • Drive content using data: partner with data experts to ensure content experiences and formats are data-driven and aligned with user preferences and behaviours, using performance data to optimise content release
  • Lead and inspire: manage a Programming Coordinator and drive the strategy of the Programming function
  • Collaborate with Marketing: establish cross-departmental calendars, coordinate content with campaign releases, and align output with wider Product and Experiences strategy
  • Personalise experiences through insights: use key insights to identify and implement improvements to the programming proposition and deliver personalised content experiences
  • Maximise engagement: coordinate content, placement and location to maximise commercial opportunities and engagement

What we are looking for

  • Background in content planning with experience in content planning, coordination programming or merchandising within a digital platform or publisher
  • Proficiency with key systems and tools: experience with content management systems and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday, Airtable)
  • User-first mindset: experience in developing personalised content experiences for diverse user segments
  • Effective project management: able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time
  • Organised and flexible approach: excellent planning skills and ability to handle high volumes of content and cross-functional collaboration
  • Data-driven: comfortable using data and insights to inform content programming and decision-making
  • Exceptional collaborator: works effectively with other departments to support team goals
  • Knowledgeable about sport and media landscape: able to identify best-in-class work and the organisations responsible for producing it

Why choose us

  • An exciting reward and recognition scheme
  • Generous holiday allowance which increases with length of service
  • Great internal learning and development programmes
  • A flexible hybrid working model
  • Priority access to apply for match tickets
  • A competitive health and wellbeing benefits package
  • An Employee Assistance Programme
  • Great discounts with some of our Partners
