The Role
We are looking for a Academy Player Care Lead to join our Women\’s Academy Team to develop and deliver a comprehensive player care strategy to support the holistic development, well-being, and transition of players at all stages of their careers.

Your day-to-day
- Build positive relationships – you will build and maintain positive relationships with all players and parents by understanding each player’s background to provide the appropriate support and act as a first point of contact at the Academy
- Manage our mentoring programme – you\’ll manage the player mentoring programme, including the coordination of mentor pairings between academy and senior players
- Lead PGA player care – you will support across the PGA Academy, including travel coordination, kit distribution, funding, and well-being needs
- Deliver workshops – you\’ll plan and deliver workshops under the Human Development pillar, ensuring content is appropriate for the age and stage of female academy players
- Coordinate our education programme – you\’ll be across the day release education programme, including scheduling, school communication, and logistical support
- Drive stakeholder collaboration – you will build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including wider club and multidisciplinary staff, national governing bodies and associated third parties

- Proven background in a similar role – you have experience working in a Player Care or Player Liaison role within an elite sports environment
- Mentor and proven youth worker – you have experience working with children, young people and their families
- Dynamic communicator – you are confident in communicating with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, adapting your style and approach to your audience
- Best-in-class organisational skills – you have a proven ability to manage a fast paced and varied workload
- Safeguarding champion – you have completed the FA Safeguarding accreditation (or are willing to undertake)
- Trusted ambassador for our club – you recognise your responsibility as a representative of our club and maintain exceptional standards of professional behaviour towards colleagues, players and the wider public
