- Transport Team Leader – Worcester
- £13.39 per hour 40 hours per week – working hours 11:30-20:00 on a 5/7 rota
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of skilled service delivery crews, coaching and developing staff as required.
- Ensure efficient fleet utilisation, resource planning and cost control while maintaining compliance.
- Identify opportunities for improved efficiencies within the Transport function and recommend and implement changes.
- Resourcing, development and leadership of all colleagues within the team, ensuring full training in driver CPC, service delivery standards and product installation.
- Make prompt decisions that protect customer service and delivery schedules, remaining commercially focused.
- Manage on‑site resources (colleagues, vehicles and equipment) to ensure availability in the right place at the right time, flexing to changing customer needs.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- At least 1 year’s experience working within transport.
- Demonstrable experience improving transport operations.
- Experience leading and coaching teams.
- Ability to develop, understand and interpret financial data to manage and improve resource costs.
- Demonstrable commercial and financial acumen.
- Strong people skills – able to influence, coach and develop.
- Good knowledge of Road Transport Regulations.
