  • Transport Team Leader – Worcester
  • £13.39 per hour 40 hours per week – working hours 11:30-20:00 on a 5/7 rota

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of skilled service delivery crews, coaching and developing staff as required.
  • Ensure efficient fleet utilisation, resource planning and cost control while maintaining compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for improved efficiencies within the Transport function and recommend and implement changes.
  • Resourcing, development and leadership of all colleagues within the team, ensuring full training in driver CPC, service delivery standards and product installation.
  • Make prompt decisions that protect customer service and delivery schedules, remaining commercially focused.
  • Manage on‑site resources (colleagues, vehicles and equipment) to ensure availability in the right place at the right time, flexing to changing customer needs.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • At least 1 year’s experience working within transport.
  • Demonstrable experience improving transport operations.
  • Experience leading and coaching teams.
  • Ability to develop, understand and interpret financial data to manage and improve resource costs.
  • Demonstrable commercial and financial acumen.
  • Strong people skills – able to influence, coach and develop.
  • Good knowledge of Road Transport Regulations.
