If so, ArrowXL is looking for a Management Accountant to join our team — with a hybrid working model (50% from home, 50% from our Wigan office). You’ll be empowered to make a real impact in a supportive and collaborative environment.
We’re looking for a detail-driven finance professional with a passion for continuous improvement. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in delivering accurate monthly accounts, insightful financial analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making — all while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
You’ll be hands-on with balance sheet reconciliations, VAT returns, budgeting and forecasting, and play a key role in mentoring junior team members. You’ll also contribute to business-wide change and continuous improvement initiatives.

What will the role involve?
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts to tight deadlines
- Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining supporting schedules
- Producing and posting journals accurately and on time
- Supporting the maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register
- Conducting variance analysis and reporting on key financial metrics
- Assisting with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities
- Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
- Training and mentoring junior team members to support their development
- Providing insightful financial analysis to aid strategic decision-making
- Contributing to continuous improvement and change initiatives across the business
What are we looking for in our Management Accountant?
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Management Accountant in a multimillion-pound turnover business
- ACA, CIMA, ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience
- Advanced Excel skills, including functions like SUMIF, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and INDEX MATCH, with confidence handling large datasets
- Excellent time management, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A keen eye for detail and accuracy in all aspects of your work
