Quite often these items need to be installed, which we do too.

Managing your teams, you will hold overall responsibility for the smooth operation of our Transport and Service Delivery functions, ensuring our customers receive the best quality service.

  • Reporting into the site General Manager.
  • Leading, guiding and motivating your team of skilled Shift Managers, First Line Managers and service delivery crews.
  • Manage the Transport Function at Wigan (main hub) and northern out-bases.
  • Efficient fleet utilisation, resource planning and cost control (whilst always ensuring the operation is both effective and compliant).
  • Take the lead and be the site expert for legal compliance and safety, ensuring your sites consistently operate safely and legally.
  • Identify opportunities for improved efficiencies within the Transport function, recommending and implementing changes where needed and sharing best practices across our network of hubs.
  • The resourcing, development and management of all colleagues within your team.
  • Making prompt decisions which protect customer service and our delivery schedule, as well as remaining commercially focused.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • At least 3 years’ experience as a Transport Manager within a medium/large-scale transport operation.
