We store and deliver large, heavy, and bulky items in pristine condition, the kind that typically require two attentive people to handle. Quite often, these items need to be installed for our customers, and we do that too!

Job details:

  • Working hours: 06:00 - 14:00 - 22:00
  • 40 hours per week, on a 5/6 rota
  • £16.56 per hour plus excellent benefits

All roles at ArrowXL are subject to a mandatory DBS (Criminal Record) check.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leading and motivating your team of skilled service delivery crews and Team Leaders, coaching and developing those who need further support.
  • Efficient fleet utilisation, resource planning and cost control (whilst always ensuring the operation is both effective and compliant).
  • Taking the lead for legal compliance and safety.
  • Identifying opportunities for improved efficiencies within the Transport function, recommending and implementing changes where needed.
  • The resourcing, development, and management of all colleagues within your team, ensuring our service delivery crews are fully trained across all areas (in particular driver CPC, service delivery standards, and product installation).
  • Making prompt decisions that protect customer service and our delivery schedule, while remaining commercially focused.
  • Managing on-site resources (colleagues, vehicles and equipment) to ensure we have everything required in the right place at the right time not only to meet, but also flex, to our customers' changing needs.

The Ideal Candidate:

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years experience as a Leader/Supervisor within a transport operation.
  • Possess a good knowledge of Road Transport Regulations and hold a national CPC.
  • Ensure that O Licence requirements are adhered to.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Demonstrable experience improving transport operations and introducing operational excellence.
  • Strong people skills able to influence, coach and develop.
  • Able to work in an ever-changing environment with the additional pressure to deliver on time every day.
