Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Contract)

£600/day Inside IR35 | 6 Months | London Hybrid

I’m working with one of the UK’s leading consumer technology platforms as they look to hire 2 Senior SRE Contractors to support a major infrastructure and automation programme.

This is an opportunity to join a high‑performing engineering team responsible for the reliability, scalability and operational excellence of a large‑scale AWS environment used by millions of customers.

Rather than simply maintaining infrastructure, you’ll be focused on reducing operational toil, driving automation, improving reliability, and helping engineering teams move faster and more safely.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Improving the reliability and resilience of critical production systems
  • Automating manual operational processes
  • Building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code
  • Working closely with software engineers to improve platform performance and delivery
  • Identifying bottlenecks and driving continuous improvement across the platform

Tech Environment

  • AWS
  • Terraform
  • Ansible
  • Python (preferred) / Bash
  • Linux

What They’re Looking For

  • Strong Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps experience
  • Deep AWS knowledge in production environments
  • Strong Infrastructure as Code experience
  • Python or Bash scripting skills
  • Strong Linux fundamentals
  • Engineers who enjoy solving problems, improving systems, and taking ownership
