We are supporting a tech-native, PE-backed organisation launching its UK operation and hiring its first IT Operations Lead. This is a foundational role responsible for establishing the UK's IT and cloud environment from the ground up. You'll work closely with the UK CTO and collaborate with an established international Group IT function, balancing local autonomy with global standards. This role suits a hands-on, pragmatic operator who is comfortable building without existing processes and making decisions in an early-stage environment.

Responsibilities
- Establish and administer the UK Azure and Microsoft 365 environment
- Define and implement identity and access management (Entra ID)
- Own device procurement, Intune Autopilot, and endpoint security
- Manage cyber hygiene, patching, MFA, encryption, and incident response
- Configure backups and basic business continuity
- Define and run initial IT support processes
- Manage vendors, licences, and MSP relationships
- Deploy core business tools where required (CRM, HR, Finance)
Required Experience
- Strong hands-on Azure and M365 administration
- Experience building IT environments from scratch or for new entities
- Comfortable operating independently in ambiguous environments
- Practical security mindset rather than policy-heavy theory
