We’re looking for a Senior Engineer to help operate and evolve production platforms at scale. In this role, you’ll bring hands-on experience, sound judgement, and a proactive mindset to help shape reliable, high-performing systems.
You’ll be trusted to make informed trade-offs, anticipate potential failure points, and guide the team using lessons learned from real-world environments. While continuous learning is encouraged, you’ll be comfortable working independently after onboarding and contributing valuable insights to the wider team.
Key Responsibilities- Own and operate scalable web platforms in production environments
- Design, implement, and optimise cloud infrastructure (AWS)
- Define and maintain effective monitoring, alerting, and observability practices
- Identify and respond to abnormal or unsafe system behaviour
- Build and maintain continuous delivery pipelines supporting safe, zero-downtime deployments
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response, driving improvements from learnings
- Collaborate with engineers across the organisation to solve complex technical challenges
- Mentor team members and contribute to knowledge sharing across the engineering function
- Proven experience managing and scaling production web platforms
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS in live environments
- Solid understanding of monitoring, alerting, and metrics (with a focus on signal over noise)
- Experience with platform security and observability tooling
- Background in CI/CD design and implementation
- Experience working in on-call environments and handling production incidents
- Confidence working with command-line tools and environments
- Proficiency in at least one programming language for automation or tooling
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
