Freelance Junior Business Analyst (Contract) London (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
We’re looking for a Junior Business Analyst to join a busy, fast-paced creative and digital environment on a freelance contract. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their BA or analytical career who’s keen to gain hands‑on experience within a structured team, with exposure to real business decision‑making and stakeholder engagement.
You’ll work across a variety of projects focused on data analysis, reporting, process improvement and insight generation, supporting teams to make better, data‑driven decisions.
What you’ll be doing:
- Building a strong understanding of internal systems, data sources and reporting tools
- Working with stakeholders to gather, analyse and document reporting and analytical requirements
- Supporting and training end users on dashboards, reports and BI tools
- Performing detailed data analysis to identify trends, risks and opportunities
- Maintaining and improving Excel‑based models, dashboards and MI
- Helping streamline, automate and standardise reporting processes
- Supporting wider project work through ad‑hoc analysis and business case support
- Presenting insights clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in an analytical, reporting or business support role (freelance or permanent)
- Degree educated (2:1 or above preferred)
- Strong Excel skills
- A structured, detail‑oriented approach to problem solving
- Confident communicator, comfortable working with a range of stakeholders
- Able to work independently, manage priorities and adapt in a fast‑moving environment
- Willing to be onsite 3 days per week (mandatory)
Nice to have:
- Experience with SAP or similar finance/procurement systems
- SQL knowledge
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar tools
- Exposure to SharePoint and Power Automate
- Background in media, creative, marketing or agency environments
