A well-backed, early-stage AI company is building an \"AI department\" for the everyday economy: mid-market accountants, lawyers, wealth managers and agencies who want to partner for their technology rather than build it themselves.

You embed inside customer businesses and ship the AI systems their teams run on, from infrastructure and pipelines through to orchestration and interface, taking each build from first prototype to production.

You pair with a strategist who owns the customer relationship and the value case; the build is yours end to end.

What you'll own

  • The deployment build, taking a customer problem from first prototype to a production system their team relies on daily.
  • The full stack, carrying cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, LLM orchestration and frontend yourself.
  • The customer relationship, sitting with the people whose work you're changing, training them, owning the outcome.
  • The feedback loop, carrying what worked back into the platform so the next deployment starts further ahead.

What we're looking for

  • Production grade infrastructure experience, having designed, built and operated systems at scale rather than just deployed them.
  • Multiple 0 to 1 products shipped end to end, ideally as a founder or early engineer at a startup.
  • Full stack capability across cloud, data, LLM orchestration and frontend.
  • High agency, self directed, writing your own spec with no hand holding.
  • Comfort being on site with customers and owning stakeholder relationships.

This isn't for you if you've only operated inside a big company, need a clearly defined spec before starting, or have only built demos with nothing shipped to production.

Founding equity attached. If you want to build the system the next hires run by rather than inherit someone else's roadmap, get in touch.

How to prepare for a job interview at Arrows

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Arrows uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
