As Chief Technology Officer, you will define and lead a next-generation technology platform positioning the business as a data and platform-driven fintech within the UK ecosystem. This role goes beyond traditional IT leadership. You will architect a modern financial infrastructure layer that enables scalable unitisation, seamless integration with asset managers and platforms, and the evolution towards digitised and programmable investment vehicles.
This is a transformation role as much as a leadership role. The CTO will drive a forward-looking technology agenda spanning infrastructure modernisation, data platform development, and platform integration strategy, while maintaining operational continuity. The role operates within a structured value creation framework with defined milestones, reporting into the Executive Committee and engaging with the board on technology strategy and progress.

- Defining and executing a forward-looking fintech platform strategy
- Evolving an API-first, cloud-native and modular architecture
- Leading the pragmatic adoption of emerging technologies aligned to business value
- Driving continuous improvement across the technology estate, including infrastructure modernisation, resilience engineering, and operational maturity
- Building and leading a high-performing engineering organisation
- Establishing modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, automation and reliability
- Enabling product-led growth, experimentation and faster delivery cycles
- Positioning data as a strategic asset across the organisation
- Scaling and shaping the engineering organisation to meet future platform demands, including workforce planning and capability development
- Identifying and automating manual or spreadsheet-based operational processes, replacing them with governed, scalable solutions
- Owning the data platform strategy: canonical data model, governance framework, and API layer design
Resilience, Security & Regulatory Excellence
- Maintaining high levels of platform resilience, stability and uptime
- Owning and evolving the firm's cybersecurity strategy
- Ensuring compliance with FCA and PRA expectations, including governance frameworks
- Managing infrastructure vendor relationships and driving service quality, including evaluating strategic fit and planning future transitions where appropriate
- Maturing the information security posture: driving certification readiness, patch management discipline, and a regular penetration testing cadence Vendor & Integration Management
- Leading platform integration programmes: API contract governance, technical coordination, integration testing, and partner relationship management
