We're looking for a Senior Technical Analyst to embed within a high-performing platform engineering environment, working across the full software delivery lifecycle. You'll act as the connective tissue between Product, Engineering and Data, translating complex platform requirements into clear, actionable specifications that teams can build against with confidence.
The role involves working deep in the engine room of a large-scale software platform, getting hands-on with APIs, platform architecture, data pipelines and system integrations. You'll own requirements end-to-end, from discovery through to delivery, and be comfortable challenging assumptions from both a technical and product perspective.
What you'll be doing:
- Defining platform capabilities and translating them into well-structured user stories, epics and acceptance criteria.
- Kafka expertise.
- Kubernetes.
- Leading backlog refinement and sprint planning sessions with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Analysing and documenting data flows, system integrations and business logic across distributed platform components.
- Writing SQL to interrogate data, validate transformations and support root cause analysis.
- Mapping current and future-state architecture to identify gaps, dependencies and migration risks.
- Facilitating technical workshops and acting as the bridge between product intent and engineering delivery.
What you'll bring:
- Proven Technical Analyst experience on software platform or SaaS product programmes.
- Strong background in Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban) within engineering-led environments.
- Hands-on experience with data warehouses, event-driven systems, APIs or platform migrations.
- Confident SQL skills and familiarity with both relational and non-relational data stores.
- Ability to produce high-quality documentation, data flow diagrams, process maps, integration specs that engineers actually want to read.
- Experience working in fast-paced, scaled technology environments where ambiguity is the norm.
