The Opportunity
We are partnering exclusively with a well-established, large-scale UK business to appoint an AI Solutions Manager into a newly created role at the heart of their growing AI function. This is a genuinely exciting hire. Our client is committed to AI transformation and has the scale, budget and senior appetite to do it properly. They need someone who can own the AI agenda end-to-end from shaping the roadmap and building business cases, through to architecting solutions and driving them into production.
One thing we want to be upfront about: this is not a strategy-only or advisory position. Our client has been clear that they need someone who combines senior stakeholder credibility with genuine hands-on technical delivery. If you can do both, this could be the right move.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Identifying and prioritising high-impact AI opportunities across the business by working closely with senior leaders.
- Owning and shaping the AI roadmap, aligned to commercial and operational goals.
- Acting as solution architect across AI programmes — ensuring the right tools, platforms and governance frameworks are in place.
- Leading delivery end-to-end, from initial concept and PoC through to production deployment.
- Building and presenting compelling business cases to secure senior investment and buy-in.
- Developing CoE standards, templates and frameworks that define how AI is delivered at scale.
- Championing responsible AI adoption and building capability and confidence across the organisation.
- Mentoring junior team members and contributing to a high-performing AI function.
Technical AI Capability - Essential:
- Hands-on experience building and deploying AI solutions, not just overseeing them.
- Strong working knowledge of ML, NLP, generative AI, LLMs and automation.
- Practical platform experience Azure Machine Learning, OpenAI, Copilot Studio, Hugging Face or similar.
- Comfortable with prompt engineering, AI governance and responsible deployment.
- Proven track record of taking solutions from PoC to production.
