An exciting opportunity has arisen for a technically focused and commercially aware Surveyor to join our regional operations team. This role is ideally suited to an experienced Technical Surveyor, Commercial Surveyor, Door Engineer or Service Professional looking to progress within a growing engineering business. The successful candidate will work closely with Regional Management and Service Coordination teams to support both operational delivery and commercial growth across the region. The role offers the opportunity to participate in quarterly performance schemes and regional incentive programmes linked to business performance and project success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out technical and commercial site surveys across industrial doors, loading bay systems, gates, barriers and automatic entrance systems.
  • Produce accurate quotations, technical specifications and scope of works documentation.
  • Assess customer requirements and recommend suitable repair, replacement or upgrade solutions.
  • Support regional sales and service operations through technical consultation and customer engagement.
  • Liaise with Service Coordinators, Engineers and Regional Managers to ensure effective project planning and delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for additional works, upgrades and maintenance services.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all survey information and site details are accurately recorded and communicated to operational teams.
  • Assist with resolving technical queries, operational issues and customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain compliance with company procedures, health & safety standards and industry regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, colleagues and suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office and internal operational systems.
Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience in surveying, estimating, technical field support or service engineering.
  • Industrial door industry experience would be highly advantageous, although candidates from related engineering or construction sectors will also be considered.
  • Good technical understanding of industrial doors, automatic entrance systems or related equipment.
  • Experience producing quotations, specifications and technical documentation.
  • Commercial awareness with strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and technical accuracy.
  • Solution-focused with a proactive and professional approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with operational and service teams.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
