We are recruiting for a Warehouse First Line Manager at our Airdrie site. Leading a team of warehouse operatives, you will oversee the smooth operation of our Warehouse function on the PM Shift, ensuring our delivery crews are loaded efficiently to provide the best service to our customers. The role involves handling items such as refrigerators, televisions, and furniture, requiring dedication and hard work. Join our Warehouse team and become part of the ArrowXL family.
Main Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Warehouse Shift Manager, responsibilities include resource planning, cost control, and ensuring effective, compliant operations.
- Leading a team of warehouse operatives in all aspects of offload, put away, and load processes, including stock quality and integrity.
- Managing and developing team members, ensuring proper training and retention of staff.
- Making prompt decisions to protect customer service and delivery schedules, remaining commercially focused.
- Coordinating on-site resources to meet and adapt to customer needs.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience leading teams in a customer-focused, fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of managing first-line people issues (absence, performance, investigations).
- Proficiency with Microsoft systems, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to analyze management information and drive improvements.
- Understanding of financial data to manage resource costs.
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence, coach, and develop staff.
- Knowledge of RedPrairie WMS is advantageous.
