ArrowXL is now recruiting for a Warehouse First Line Manager to join our busy Warehouse team in Enfield. Leading a team of hardworking Warehouse Operatives, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of our Warehouse function on the Night Shift, ensuring our delivery crews are loaded to deliver the best service to all our customers.
Dealing with items such as refrigerators, televisions, and indoor and outdoor furniture requires hard work and dedication. By choosing to be part of our Warehouse team, you will be welcomed into the ArrowXL family.
Reporting to the Warehouse Shift Manager, tasks will include:

- Making prompt decisions that protect customer service and our delivery schedule, while remaining commercially focused.
- Leading on-site resources (colleagues and equipment) to ensure we have everything required in the right place at the right time not only to meet, but also flex, to our customers' changing needs.
People Management:
- Communicates clearly so that all direct reports and any team members are aware of their objectives and the standards required, ensuring that these are aligned to both functional and broader business objectives.
- Defines and manages day-to-day activities, being clear about priorities to ensure that deadlines are met.
- Accountable for ensuring the quality of the work at the ‘Professional’ level and the performance of their team members, where applicable.
- Role model positive behaviour, which is in keeping with our values, recognising good/excellent performance whilst being clear and transparent about areas of underperformance concerning direct line reports and their teams, where applicable.
- Provide clear advice and direction on how to change and bring about improvements where these need to be made.
- Proactively resolve conflict amongst team members quickly and fairly, manage any poor conduct and/or behaviour in keeping with AXL policy and procedure and manage attendance amongst team members in keeping with AXL policy and procedure.
- Engage and build open and honest professional and positive relationships with team members, fellow colleagues, peers and cross-functional stakeholders.
