If so, ArrowXL is seeking a Procurement Coordinator to join our team based at our Wigan office. You’ll be empowered to make a real impact within a collaborative environment.
The Procurement Coordinators are responsible for overseeing the end-to-end purchasing process to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role involves managing supplier relationships, leading data-driven analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring seamless cross-departmental workflow between operations and finance.
What will the role involve?
- Order Management: Oversee the full procurement cycle; create, verify, and authorise purchase orders (POs) and requisitions while ensuring all contracts align with company policy.
- Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Act as the primary point of contact for vendors. Maintain an up-to-date supplier database, track performance KPIs, and manage compliance.
- Communication: Bridge the gap between internal stakeholders and external partners. Proactively identify supply chain risks and lead the resolution of delivery or quality discrepancies.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Conduct market research and price analysis to benchmark costs. Prepare monthly procurement reports, analyse spending patterns, and provide actionable insights to improve margins.
- Financial Oversight: Work closely with the Finance department to reconcile invoices against delivery notes and resolve pricing variances.
- Process Optimisation: Maintain processes to streamline procurement workflows and administration.
What are we looking for?
- Analytical Mindset: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and the ability to interpret complex datasets to drive decision-making.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to negotiate with suppliers and build strong, collaborative relationships with internal departments.
- High Accountability: Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without losing attention to detail.
- Problem-Solving Skills: A proactive approach to identifying potential supply chain bottlenecks and implementing effective solutions.
- Team Player: Ability to work independently while remaining a cohesive part of the broader operations and finance teams.
- Previous experience in a procurement or supply chain role.
- Familiarity with ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Desirable: Progress towards a professional certification (such as CIPS or equivalent).
