Are you skilled in coaching and supporting learners with varying levels of experience? If so, ArrowXL is looking for a Logistics Operational Trainer to join our team, based at our Worcester office. The Logistics Operational Trainer plays a pivotal role in designing, delivering high-quality, compliant, and engaging operational training across multiple business locations. This role focuses on improving operational performance, safety, quality and consistency across the network by raising standards for colleagues, contractors, and third-party partners, ensuring they operate safely, and in line with business standards and statutory requirements.
The trainer will oversee the full learning lifecycle - from design and delivery through to evaluation and continuous improvement - driving excellence in logistics operations through consistent, skills-based training. The role also focuses on expanding and modernising training delivery methods, including the effective use of Learning Management System, digital learning platforms, blended learning approaches and data driven insights to improve learner engagement, knowledge retention, and operational capability across the business.

What will the role involve?
- Training Design & Delivery
- Support and deliver new starter induction programmes, promoting safety culture and operational capability from the outset.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate operational training programmes across logistics functions, ensuring compliance with business and regulatory standards.
- Create structured training plans, session materials and learning resources.
- Adapt training methods to suit different learning styles and operational needs.
- Deliver RTITB-accredited training for forklift and other MHE operations.
- Deliver manual handling training and refreshed instruction in safe systems of work (SSOW), ensuring full procedural compliance across functions.
- Provide tailored training for internal teams and third-party vendors, ensuring consistent standards and operational excellence across the brand network.
- Collaborate with operational leads to assess training needs, develop bespoke content, and measure the effectiveness of training interventions.
- Provide on-the-job coaching to improve performance and productivity.
- Conduct driver assessments for Class 1 (CE) and Class 2 (C) vehicles, ensuring competence, safety, and efficiency in line with UK driving regulations.
- Lead Yard Shunter and vehicle movement training activities, ensuring adherence to all site-specific and business safety procedures.
- Ensure training aligns with health & safety, regulatory, and company standards.
- Deliver safety briefings, toolbox talks, and compliance training.
- Maintain training records and certification tracking.
- Act as a key ambassador for the business, modelling professional driving standards and promoting a proactive culture of safety and development.
- Maintain comprehensive training records and compliance documentation in line with audit and certification requirements.
- Support the rollout of new processes, systems, and equipment.
- Assist in standardising operating procedures across sites.
- Provide feedback to management on operational risks and improvement opportunities.
- Track learning effectiveness through KPIs and assessments.
- Report progress and outcomes to operational leadership.
- Continuously update training materials based on operational changes.
What are we looking for?
- Qualified RTITB Instructor with recent experience delivering accredited materials.
- Proven experience conducting Class 1 & 2 driver assessments and Yard Shunter training.
- Excellent working knowledge of Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and their on-site implementation.
- Demonstrable ability to design, deliver, and evaluate the full training lifecycle.
- Skilled in coaching and supporting learners with varying levels of experience.
- Strong communication, organisational, and report-writing skills.
- Confidence liaising with site leadership teams, vendors, and third-party partners.
- Flexible to travel and undertake overnight stays to support national site delivery.
- Full UK Driving Licence Category C or CE.
- Desirable - Train-the-Trainer qualification or L&D certification (e.g., CIPD or equivalent).
- Desirable - Experience in the logistics, supply chain, or transport compliance environment.
- Desirable - Experience using digital learning platforms or blended learning methods.
