HGV C1 Driver / Removals Porter

Arrow Removals, operating for nearly 20 years, is seeking an experienced and professional driver/porter for a full‑time on‑site role based in Dromore, Northern Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load and unload furniture and personal belongings for domestic house removals.
  • Operate a 7.5‑tonne lorry on routes across Northern Ireland and Great Britain.
  • Work nights away from home up to three times a month during busy periods, staying in hotels or ferries (no overnight in vehicle cab).
  • Communicate with clients to understand needs and provide a polite, professional, efficient service.
  • Collaborate with a small, friendly team to achieve service objectives.
  • Follow company training and procedures for safe loading and off‑loading of goods.
  • Lift furniture and similar items comfortably throughout the work day.
  • Maintain delivery timescales to meet client removal deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • HGV C1 licence (at least one year of full‑time HGV driving experience).
  • Current CPC licence and digital Taco mandate.
  • Good communication skills with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to problem‑solve and work logically.
  • Good knowledge of Northern Ireland roads and towns, including some Great Britain.
  • Experience handling furniture or similar items is preferred; building flat furniture is an advantage.
