Quality Inspector Arrow Precision Engineering are the world leader in the manufacture of crankshafts and connecting rods. We are looking for a Quality Inspector who has a keen eye for detail and passionate about problem solving. Our Inspectors maintain our high standards by approving and assessing products during and after production.This role will lead the department and therefore some previous management / leadership experience is required as well as being able to demonstrate the following qualities. Key Responsibilities Carrying out visual and dimensional inspection of various machined and sourced components to specifications and drawings. Ensure processes are delivering intended outcomes. Approving incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials. Approving in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production. Approving finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work. Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarising re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database. Operating Mitutoyo CMM machines Skill Set Experience of working in an Inspector role is essential. Ability to work on your own and as part of a team. Qualification or Apprenticeship or equivalent in an engineering discipline. Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, dimensional and visual inspection. Excellent technical ability and attention to detail. Ability to follow processes, procedures and requirements of ISO9001 Articulate communication skills CMM experience (MCOSMOS) Based at our Hinckley site and reporting to the Lead Quality Inspector, this role will suit someone who has a keen eye for details and has a passion for problem solving.
