Purpose of the Role:

You’ll be joining the Americas region of McLaren Racing’s Business Development team, tasked with developing new commercial partnerships that drive revenue to our Arrow McLaren IndyCar team.
Role Dimensions:

Lead the sales efforts for McLaren’s IndyCar team, with responsibility of new revenue targets.

Support across existing Indy team partnership renewals, as well as leading organic growth of other McLaren Racing series partners into IndyCar.
Principal Accountabilities:
-
Identification of key categories and target brands at established and emerging organizations that align to McLaren Racing’s objectives, Arrow McLaren’s team requirements and the strengths of the NTT IndyCar Series.

Initiating new business opportunities and securing partnerships through robust and consistent prospecting, event hosting, and relationship development.

Building and maintaining a robust and accurate new business pipeline inclusive of a database of key decision makers at established and emerging target brands within key sectors.

Managing and coordinating new business-related activities including campaign planning and execution, event attendance, partnership ideation and preparation of sales materials and pitches.

Liaising closely with your Business Development peers, IndyCar team President & partnerships team, and the wider commercial division to manage the end-to-end sales process that maximizes McLaren Racing’s key principles such as collaboration, transparency, and accountability.
Job requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Strong understanding of sports sponsorships (motorsports preferred), with a minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience.

Demonstrated business acumen with a proven track record of exceeding annual revenue targets, and confident engagement with senior level executives.

Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, including the ability to operate outside of a traditional office environment.

A rounded knowledge of sales enablement tools and software including Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Adobe, Cisco/WebEx.

McLaren Racing is based at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) near Woking. Here at McLaren, we offer hybrid working with 3 days a week based in the MTC.
