The Indirect Procurement team manages the sourcing of goods and services that support all non-car-related functions at McLaren Racing. This includes areas such as Commercial, Business Performance, Marketing, Heritage, IT, and Facilities. The team plays a key role in ensuring strategic procurement decisions align with the new cost cap regulations introduced in Formula 1 in 2026. This role requires initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to work proactively under time constraints. It will be responsible for supporting PO creation, P2P cycle, supplier onboarding, RFx administrative support, and typical procurement operations that contribute to the success of McLaren Racing's business functions.
Our Operatives are expected to carry out complex tasks and activities which provide supporting services helping to facilitate the Indirect Procurement team members.
What you'll do:
- Integrate quickly into the team to support procurement operations
- Take ownership of assigned tasks with guidance from experienced team members
- Contribute to sourcing activities, supplier communications, and data analysis
- Support documentation and reporting aligned with cost cap compliance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders as well as with our supply chain
Qualifications - What You'll Bring:
- A proactive and organised mindset with a strong interest in high-performance environments and continuous improvement
- Experience of ERP systems and PO creation would be a distinct advantage
- Provide general administrative support across procurement activities, including RFx process coordination
- Demonstrates attention to detail and discipline in execution, ensuring work is completed to a high standard
- Supports problem resolution by working with stakeholders and suppliers to address issues efficiently
- Proactively identifies and completes tasks independently
- Exposure to, or an interest in, motorsport or aerospace engineering would be welcomed
