Purpose of the Role
As a Goods Receiving Inspector within Quality Control, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring every component entering the business meets the precision, quality, and performance standards required to compete at the highest level. You’ll be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and validating incoming materials, ensuring they conform to engineering drawings, specifications, and purchase orders before progressing into production.
What You’ll Do
- Receive, sign for, and accurately book in all incoming deliveries
- Inspect components against engineering drawings and specifications
- Carry out dimensional measurements using a range of inspection tools and technologies
- Ensure all parts meet required quality standards before release to the next stage
- Coordinate the timely movement of materials to internal stakeholders and production teams
What You’ll Bring
- Experience within a quality inspection or precision engineering environment
- Strong working knowledge of inspection processes and measurement techniques
- Familiarity with tools and software such as PCDMIS, Polyworks, VX Elements, GOM Inspect, or Faro/PowerInspect (advantageous)
- Understanding of GD&T principles
- Experience operating in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines and competing priorities
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident using IT systems, including MRP systems
