Purpose of the Role: This role is embedded in the high-energy environment of McLaren Racing where you will be the essential support system for deploying our most visually stunning assets - our iconic full sized F1 replica Showcars, as well as our premium interactive and display assets to events across the globe. Your mission is to ensure every asset, from a championship-winning car to a cutting-edge simulator, arrives seamlessly, representing our best-in-class brand standards, and support the delivery of unforgettable & engaging experiences for our partners, fans, and VIP guests.
Role Dimensions: You will be a core member of the Brand Experience department sitting within the Showcar & Display Assets team. Fully focussed on a flawless operational delivery and support for our events and activations. Collaborate with colleagues across internal teams, external partners and our incredible suppliers. Work in a fast paced and determined team who look to push boundaries in everything they do through continuous review and innovation to deliver world class experiences. Work is generally performed within an office environment with standard office equipment. Frequently required to work weekends, occasional travel away from home and unsociable hours. When attending motorsport events, the candidate may be exposed to high levels of noise and some manual handling may be required. On event, the role requires long hours on your feet.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Logistics & Deployment: Orchestrate the complex booking, freight, and movement of static cars and high-value event assets (simulators, race gear, team kit, etc.) for activations worldwide.
- Brand Ready: Work closely with the Manager, Senior Executives & Brand Creative team to execute faultless partner branding and asset readiness checks, ensuring every item meets the impeccable McLaren brand standard.
- Asset Management Systems: Maintain sharp, real-time inventory & tracking systems for all display assets, ensuring optimal utilisation and availability.
- Technical Liaison: Coordinate directly with the Showcar Technician to guarantee every display vehicle is meticulously maintained and event-ready.
- Stakeholder Hub: Act as a key communication link, preparing necessary documentation, negotiating supplier quotes, coordinating with both internal teams (including McLaren Automotive) and external stakeholders.
- Reporting: Contribute to robust post-event reporting, compiling data and feedback to drive continuous improvement in our activation strategy.
- Sustainability: Support best practices in sustainability and health & safety compliance across all events and logistics operations.
- Benchmarking: Monitor industry and competitor trends, feeding back insights to keep McLaren at the forefront of brand experience delivery.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Fluent use of English language required in both verbal and written communications.
- Proven experience in asset management, logistics, or a comparable fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
- Interest in/experience with motorsport is a significant advantage.
- Exceptional organisational skills and a relentless, detail-oriented approach where you thrive on complexity and precision with a strong mentality to provide solutions for any challenges.
- A natural ability to build and maintain positive working relationships across diverse internal teams and external suppliers/partners.
- Basic comfort with budgets, quoting, and tracking expenditure.
- A strong work ethic and the willingness to learn, adapt, and manage a challenging workload in an ever-changing, high-pressure environment.
- An interest in sustainable practices within freight and event logistics.
