Our Engineering Graduate Programme is specifically designed to develop talent within Engineering, to grow our internal knowledge base and create the future leaders of McLaren Racing. You will be rotating around different areas of the Engineering side of the team as part of the 2 year programme, exposing you to areas including Aerodynamics, Design, Racing and Performance.
Role Details
The graduate programme is a 2-year fixed term opportunity, and will see you working closely with all areas of the business and levels of management.
Applications will close on Wednesday 15th October 2025. There will be a second round of assessment sent on the 17th October to be completed by the 20th October. The graduate assessment day will be at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking on Thursday 13th November 2025. If you are selected to attend the assessment day, you will be notified the week prior.
Principal Accountabilities
You’ll gain insight across all the functions of an F1 team, predominantly focused on the Technical and Race Team elements of the business. As part of the Engineering Graduate Scheme, you will be in a position to deliver performance projects from the outset across multiple functions, including but not limited to: Design, Aerodynamics, Vehicle Performance, Race Engineering and Strategy. This role will include race weekend support across the season.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
The following attributes are required for this role:
- A degree in Engineering, Mathematics or the Sciences with a minimum of a 2:1 (or equivalent).
- General computing skills and software knowledge appropriate to placement areas. e.g. a prior knowledge of CAD packages is useful for a design placement.
- Practical mindedness and a passion for motorsport.
- Previous experience in motorsport is desirable, but not required.

McLaren Racing is based at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) near Woking. The MTC is connected to Woking mainline station via regular shuttle buses, from which London Waterloo is a 30 minute train ride.
