Purpose of the Role

As a key member of the Control Systems group, you will take ownership of the performance, reliability and legality of our control systems. You will support the development and implementation of control strategies across all electronic, electrical, and high‐voltage systems for both our Race Car and Track (Customer) Car, ensuring world‐class engineering delivery on and off the track.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support control systems development for both Race and Track (Customer) Cars.
  • Liaise closely with suppliers on electronic, electrical, and high‐voltage systems.
  • Develop bespoke control systems for the Track (Customer) Car, including collaboration with third‐party software partners.
  • Support validation and track‐test programmes.
  • Support dashboard and steering wheel software development.
  • Occasionally support testing and race operations onsite and trackside.
  • Apply deep system knowledge to anticipate behaviours in both nominal and fault conditions.
  • Innovate new processes and help solve complex engineering challenges in a fast‐moving environment.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in elite motorsport—F1, Formula E, WEC Hypercar or WRC is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of control system tools such as Motion Applied VCU/ECU, ATLAS, System Monitor (or equivalent).
  • Detailed knowledge of all the systems in the car, including behaviour in nominal and failed conditions.
  • Proven capability in Simulink‐based control system development, including code testing and source control.
  • Demonstrated ability in independent fault‐finding and problem‐solving.
  • Experience working with hybrid or high‐voltage powertrains.
  • Skills in VBA or Python programming.
