Computed Tomography Operative

Purpose of the role

As a Senior Operative within our Computed Tomography (CT) Department, you'll play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of components that support our racing operations. Working at the forefront of inspection and validation, you'll use advanced CT technology to help verify manufacturing processes, support engineering intent, and contribute to continuous improvement across the business.

What You'll Do

• Perform computed tomography (CT) inspections in line with defined procedures and acceptance criteria.
• Analyse CT data and produce clear, accurate technical reports.
• Communicate inspection findings and contribute to technical discussions and problem‑solving activities.
• Support automated and "lights‑out" CT operations to meet manufacturing and service deadlines.
• Promote best practice and help maintain world‑class quality standards across the department.
• Play an active role in driving performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring

• Experience operating CT scanning equipment, ideally within an industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of CT data analysis and interpretation.
• Ability to produce high‑quality technical reports and communicate findings effectively.
• Experience working within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment where quality and delivery are critical.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Experience with VGStudio Max, Nikon CT equipment, or other non‑destructive testing (NDT) techniques would be advantageous.

McLaren Racing is based at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) near Woking. Our state of the art, sustainable campus offers many facilities including a gym, restaurant and indoor and outdoor break‑out areas, as well as direct access to park and common land. The MTC is connected to Woking mainline station via regular shuttle buses, from which London Waterloo is a 30‑minute train ride.
