Purpose of the Role:
Arrow McLaren IndyCar Team is seeking a Specialist, Graphic Design with 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced, high-visibility organization. This role plays a critical part in supporting the IndyCar team’s brand execution and commercial growth. This role is primarily responsible for executing accurate, brand-compliant partner branding on racing assets including race cars, driver fire suits, team apparel, pit equipment and garage environments and designing partnership pitch decks. Based onsite in Indianapolis, this individual will operate within the global brand standards of McLaren Racing, working in alignment with centralized Creative and Brand Strategy teams in the UK to ensure consistency across the McLaren Racing portfolio.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Create precise, brand-compliant visual integrations across race cars, driver fire suits, team kits, pit stands, toolboxes, transporters, hospitality assets and partner identification systems.
- Design high-quality partnership pitch decks, renewal presentations and commercial sales materials that directly support revenue generation.
- Produce both concept-driven creative projects and structured template-based executions in coordination and under guidance from the McLaren Racing creative team.
- Maintain and update partner branding assets throughout the race season.
- Preserve meticulous attention to detail across typography, color systems, logo placement and asset specifications.
- Ensure compliance with McLaren Racing global brand standards and INDYCAR series regulations.
- Support creative production across digital and print platforms (social templates, web/email graphics, event collateral, internal materials) as well as occasional licensing products.
- Interpret creative and marketing briefs from internal stakeholders and translate them into clear, effective visual outputs that meet campaign or commercial objectives.
- Collaborate with production vendors and internal operations teams to ensure accurate execution of physical assets.
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Partnerships, Communications, Social, Licensing and Operations teams.
- Participate in recurring alignment meetings with McLaren Racing UK Creative and Brand teams.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects within a deadline-driven race calendar environment, often requiring rapid turnaround.
- Support select race weekends and team events as needed.
Job requirements Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- 3-5 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in professional sports, motorsports, agency, entertainment or corporate brand environments.
- A degree in graphic design or related field.
- Knowledge of printing and vinyl processes to ensure work is produced for quality application across a variety of assets.
- Demonstrated experience developing executive-level presentations and commercial pitch materials.
- Experience working with corporate sponsors and multi-brand ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of environmental branding, large-format production and asset application.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign required; motion graphics a plus).
- Experience preparing print-ready and production-ready files.
- Ability to work onsite in Indianapolis.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management ability.
