Established in 1986, Arrow Industrial Group has grown to become one of the UK's leading providers of industrial doors, automatic entrance doors, loading bays, gates and barriers. We service our valuable customer network from our 2 Yorkshire factories alongside our UK Regional Business Centres.

We are seeking a Senior Industrial Door Engineer with extensive industry experience and the potential to step into a leadership role. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 10 years' experience in the industrial door sector, combining strong technical capability with the confidence to lead, support, and develop others. This position offers the opportunity to contribute at both a hands‐on and strategic level overseeing complex projects, mentoring junior engineers, and influencing the continued growth and excellence of the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

This is a senior‐level role with a blend of technical delivery and leadership duties:

  • Install, service, and maintain a variety of industrial door and barrier systems, including roller shutters, sectional overhead doors, high‐speed doors, automatic doors, and gates.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults across mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Ensure all work complies with current safety regulations, quality standards, and client specifications.
  • Operate within a designated field‐based area across London and the South East.
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee complex installation projects from design through to commissioning.
  • Support and mentor engineering colleagues, fostering skills development and adherence to best practices.
  • Provide technical direction and on‐site leadership during high‐value or technically demanding projects.
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety compliance across all work.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, offering guidance and ensuring expectations are met.
  • Identify and implement practical improvements in processes, reliability, and service efficiency.
Candidate Profile

We are looking for a capable senior engineer who can balance technical delivery with team leadership and client engagement. The right candidate will be confident working independently while also playing a key role in the wider engineering function.

  • 10+ years of experience in the industrial door industry.
  • Strong background in both installation and servicing.
  • In‐depth knowledge of safety standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance practices.
  • Proven experience leading teams or mentoring junior staff.
  • Excellent fault‐finding, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Experience with Conflict Management.
  • Supervisory and Leadership skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Qualifications
  • ADSA, ADIA, DHF, IPAF, PASMA certifications.
  • NVQs in relevant engineering disciplines.
  • CSCS card.
