Overview
As an Associate, your primary role is to support the Central Investment team in identifying, assessing, underwriting, and executing distressed credit investment opportunities. This role offers hands-on exposure to high-volume deal flow, working on a unique platform with a highly diverse pipeline across multiple geographies and asset classes. The position is at an Associate level, best suited for candidates with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in an investment bank, credit fund, private equity fund, or structured finance environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and evaluate distressed investment opportunities across various asset classes (e.g., corporate credit, real estate, structured products, and special situations).
- Perform rigorous data analysis, including cash flow modelling, financing analytics, and assessment of performing and non-performing loan pools, ensuring a deep understanding of asset performance and structuring.
- Conduct due diligence on distressed credit exposures, including analysis of the loan data, the underlying collaterals, the borrower creditworthiness and the legal situation.
- Build or review financial cashflow models to represent expected investment repayment profiles and financing structures, including sensitivity and risk analysis.
- Support the deal lead in the structuring, pricing, and execution of complex credit transactions, ensuring effective project management.
- Prepare detailed investment memorandums and presentations for senior management and investment committees.
- Actively participate and collaborate in team meetings, collaborate with the Arrow platforms and their respective due diligence and investment teams and the relevant Arrow stakeholders (e.g. legal, tax, financing, risk, compliance, portfolio management).
- Develop and maintain relationships with banks, co-investors, brokers, and financial institutions to source and execute off-market and structured investment opportunities.
Required Skills And Experience
- 3 to 5 years relevant experience, likely gained within investment banking, rating agency, investment/private equity fund, or servicer/asset manager, with a strong emphasis on analysis of loan portfolios, distressed debt, and real estate-backed credit.
- Strong financial modelling skills and knowledge of valuation techniques, with proficiency in Excel; knowledge of Python, VBA, SQL is a plus.
- Effective and engaging communication style, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.
- Self-motivated, independent problem-solver, capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic investment environment.
- A strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify and execute high-value credit investment opportunities.
- Knowledge of additional European language(s) would be beneficial.
