We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic AWS Supplier Manager to join our team. The individual will be core in managing the relationship with Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a supplier in EMEA, as well as with internal stakeholders across our organisation. The role will be reporting to the Global Director of Public Cloud. The successful candidate will have the ability to think strategically while translating those strategies into actionable execution across multiple countries.
This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in managing supplier relationships, ideally within the distribution sector and with AWS. The AWS Supplier Manager will play a crucial role in driving collaborative partnerships, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and optimising the value derived from the AWS relationship.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Partnership Management
- Develop and execute a strategic framework for managing the relationship with AWS as a supplier.
- Build and maintain a deep understanding of AWS’s offerings and how they align with the company’s goals and initiatives.
- Establish and foster strong, collaborative partnerships with AWS, ensuring mutual value and alignment.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact between key AWS and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on priorities.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and leverage AWS solutions to meet business objectives.
- Influence and educate internal stakeholders on AWS capabilities and partnership opportunities.
- Operational Excellence
- Lead the execution of supplier strategies across multiple countries, ensuring adherence to timelines and goals.
- Monitor and evaluate AWS's performance as a supplier, addressing any issues and implementing corrective actions as needed in collaboration with the AWS Sales Leader.
- Drive cost-efficiency and innovation by continuously seeking opportunities to optimise the AWS relationship.
- Negotiation and Contract Management
- Lead negotiations with AWS to secure favourable terms and conditions that align with the organisation’s objectives.
- Manage contractual agreements, ensuring compliance and alignment with organisational policies and governance.
- Data-Driven Decision Making
- Analyse supplier performance metrics and key data points to inform decisions and strategies.
- Create periodic reports on AWS relationship performance, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
- Proven track record: Demonstrated success in managing supplier relationships, ideally within AWS and the Distribution industry.
- Strategic mindset: Ability to think critically and develop long-term strategies while translating them into actionable plans.
- Stakeholder management: Strong experience in engaging and influencing internal stakeholders across various levels and functions.
- Negotiation expertise: Skilled in negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers to drive value and achieve business objectives.
- Project execution: Experience leading and executing supplier strategies in multi-country environments.
- Analytical skills: Proficiency in analysing supplier performance data and metrics to inform decisions.
- Communication skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with a capacity to influence and educate stakeholders.
- Technical knowledge: Familiarity with AWS products and services is highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field. A master’s degree or equivalent experience is an asset.
