(Hybrid – 3/2 Work Schedule) Our client is a leading Energy Trading business based in London, as the Product Control Analyst you will be part of a fast paced environment where using initiative and collaborating is highly encouraged. Responsibilities: Prepare balance sheet and income statement reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting Prepare detailed analysis and commentary on financial reports Assist with monthly, quarterly, and yearly close processes Standardize and streamline processes through automation tools Identify control or reporting issues, propose process improvement ideas, and coordinate resolution in an accurate and timely manner Collaborate closely with Trading, Scheduling, Settlements, Risk, Treasury, and Tax departments on new business initiatives, key business transformation projects, and various ad-hoc business requests Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field Candidates with an accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or in the process of getting the qualification are preferred Candidates with 2+ years of experience in Product Control or relevant fields will be considered. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail including a strong control focus Excellent communication skills and ability to develop lasting working relationships High level of accuracy and diligence in financial reporting and reconciliations.
