You must have the capability to produce requirements specifications to capture the needs of the customer and produce technical design documentation to define appropriate solutions in order to become an expert and authority on the various technical products and components which comprise “the system” and support the modification and re-use of that system to meet the needs of ongoing opportunities.

In addition, you will interact with software architects and software engineering teams to understand the technical roadmap and implementation details of new system developments.

How To Make An Impact

  • Maintain a “systems view” to coordinate the activities of teams working on individual system components.
  • Produce both functional and technical documentation.
  • Liaise with customers to fully understand their business needs.
  • Prepare high level design documentation.
  • Oversee the delivery of technical solutions to clients.
  • Investigate and support the resolution of technical issues arising during the project lifecycle.
  • Identify technical issues and risks and associated mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to system design reviews and to product strategy reviews.

About You

  • Education: Master Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering/scientific field (or equivalent experience).
  • Systems Engineering: proven experiences across all stages of the Systems Engineering lifecycle.
  • Having a demonstrated "systems thinker" approach.
  • Methodologies: being proficient in both waterfall and agile development environments.
  • Requirements & Documentation: experiences in successful requirements engineering and producing high-quality technical documentation to outline solutions.
  • Project Delivery: a track record of successful project delivery and working with software teams to develop integrated cloud and embedded solutions.
  • Communication: excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This role is based in Poole, UK.
