The Role
As a Senior Revenue Engineer in our YourParkingSpace business, you will play a key role in building the infrastructure and systems that power pricing and revenue optimisation across our platform. This role sits at the intersection of backend engineering, data engineering, and pricing systems. You’ll design and build scalable services, pipelines, and APIs that enable pricing logic, experimentation, and automation across our marketplace. You will work closely with Pricing, Data, Product, and Engineering teams to productionise pricing models and ensure pricing systems are reliable, observable, and built to scale. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building robust, production-grade systems that support revenue-critical decision making. You’ll be helping build the next generation pricing infrastructure powering urban mobility platforms, directly influencing how pricing, supply, and demand interact across our marketplace. Your work will have real, measurable impact on revenue, utilisation, and customer experience — while helping shape the systems that power the future of parking and mobility.
How To Make An Impact
- Design and build scalable pricing infrastructure, including pricing engines, rule frameworks, and supporting APIs.
- Build and maintain data pipelines and operational data models that power pricing logic, experimentation, and analytics.
- Develop systems for capturing, processing, and serving pricing data across internal and external platforms.
- Work closely with Pricing/Data Scientist to productionise machine learning models, including feature pipelines, deployment workflows, and monitoring.
- Ensure pricing systems are reliable, observable, and fully automated, with strong CI/CD, testing, and monitoring practices.
- Implement scalable solutions that avoid technical debt and support long-term platform architecture.
Your background
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience building production systems, ideally in marketplaces, platforms, or pricing-driven environments.
- Expertise in PHP and the Laravel ecosystem, with a focus on building secure, performant backend services for complex pricing or logic-heavy applications.
- Strong Python and SQL skills, with experience building data pipelines, backend services, and operational data models.
- Experience designing scalable APIs and data capture systems that support configuration-driven or rule-based logic.
- Experience productionising machine learning models in collaboration with Data Science teams (feature pipelines, deployment, monitoring, retraining workflows).
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
- Experience building revenue-critical systems with strong observability and monitoring.
- Ability to take a first-principles approach to system design, thinking deeply about architecture, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
Nice to haves
- Experience building pricing engines, experimentation platforms, or optimisation systems.
- Experience working with marketplace or dynamic pricing environments.
- Familiarity with modern data stacks and orchestration tools.
