We are seeking experienced and driven Skilled Shift PSV Engineers to join the Arriva team at our Ware depot.
As a PSV Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and preventative maintenance, diagnosing faults, and performing reactive repairs on a fleet of commercially operated buses and coaches. You\’ll be expected to maintain high standards in line with Arriva’s and DVSA\’s requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs to meet both Arriva and DVSA standards
- Contribute to continuous vehicle reliability improvements
- Prepare vehicles for MOTs, conduct planned preventative maintenance, and quality checks
- Diagnose faults to ensure the fleet meets Arriva\’s higher-than-DVSA standards
- Attend roadside breakdowns when required
- Work on a full shift rota (early, day, and late shifts, 5 days a week), rotating every 4 weeks. You must be able to commit to this schedule, which includes 2 weeks of early shifts (5:00/6:00 start), 1 week of days (9:00/10:00 start), and 1 week of late shifts (14:00/15:00 start). Full rota details will be provided at the interview.
Requirements:
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in PSV/HGV maintenance and repair (international qualifications will be considered)
- A full UK driving licence (with no more than 6 points)
- Ability to pass a PCV pre-employment medical
