Hourly Rate: £22.47 - £25.51

Weekday Overtime: £29.21 - £33.16 (Time and a third)

Weekend Overtime: £33.70 - £38.26 (Time and a half)

Based at our Thornton Heath Garage, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a fleet of London buses to ensure they stay in tip-top shape and keep our passengers safe.

What Will You Be Doing?

As a Running Shift Engineer, no two days will be the same! You will have the responsibility of:

  • Performing servicing, inspections, and repairs to the highest standards (DVSA and Arriva standards exceed the norm!).
  • Carrying out diagnostic fault finding and contributing to the continuous improvement of vehicle reliability.
  • Preparing buses for MOTs and supporting preventative maintenance campaigns to keep our fleet in peak condition.
  • Working a 7/3/7/4 rotating shift pattern, including both early and late shifts.

What Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who is as passionate about quality as we are! To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • NVQ Level 2 or higher in PSV, HGV maintenance (or an equivalent international qualification).
  • Alternatively, at least 5 years' hands-on experience in the repair and maintenance of PSV/HGV/light vehicles.
  • A full UK driving licence (with no more than 6 penalty points).
  • A valid PCV/PSV licence.
  • The ability to pass a PCV pre-employment medical.
