Arriva Rail London\’s Revenue & Protection team are on the hunt for a Revenue Protection & Security Analyst!

The ideal individual will either come from a railway customer experience/ revenue protection background or will be highly skilled in analytics.

What you\’ll be doing:

  • You will be monitoring and interpreting a wide range of data sources, from gate line and ticket machine availability to customer surveys, crime reports, and fare evasion trends.
  • This individual will be creating clear and insightful reports daily, weekly, and periodic that highlight key patterns, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • You will help to shape our revenue protection strategy by analysing ticketless travel data, passenger flows, and expected revenue.
  • Identification of fare evasion hotspots will be another key part of this role, guiding the deployment of frontline resources, including at stations not operated by us directly.
  • You will investigate incidents of fare evasion or antisocial behaviour using reports from staff, customers, and internal systems.
  • This individual will work closely with Communications and frontline teams to keep revenue protection and safety top of mind.
  • You will collaborate with the Performance team to support wider business improvements.
  • Tracking the use of staff travel passes will be another key part of this role, to spot patterns and help prevent misuse.
  • You will also be responsible for analysing data related to crime, trespass, and other safety issues to support a safer network for everyone.
  • This individual will contribute your insights to a team that values practical, data-led action-and where your work directly supports better service for our customers.

What we need from you:

  • Experience in a face-to-face customer service role, with a confident and approachable manner.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across various teams.
  • Solid understanding of railway laws, bylaws, rules, prosecution policies, and court procedures.
  • Familiarity with railway security requirements and objectives.
  • A strong grasp of health and safety practices in the workplace.
  • Good knowledge of station operations, ticketing systems, and railway geography.
  • Understanding of revenue protection, including processes related to investigations and prosecutions.
  • Awareness of the ARL Ticketing and Timetable regime (ARL TT) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of broader railway operations and how services are delivered.
  • Strong analytical thinking and numerical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident IT user with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Flexible and well-organised, with the ability to manage and prioritise tasks effectively.
