Arriva Rail London are on the hunt for a Revenue Protection & Security Manager to join our team Reporting directly into the Head of Revenue Protection & Security, you will be leading all revenue protection and security related tasks, providing leadership for a team of Revenue Protection Inspectors with the goal of delivering our revenue protection obligations in line with the business strategy.

If you want to be a vital part of that, then this is the role for you This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience of managing a team, ideally with a Customer Experience background who is looking for the chance to work in Revenue Protection

What you\’ll be doing:

  • Efficiently deploy revenue protection resources as directed by senior management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with trade union representatives to agree on rosters meeting business needs.
  • Manage and improve relationships with colleagues across departments to enhance overall performance.
  • Lead and participate in joint revenue protection operations with other transport organisations.
  • Ensure the team is well-informed on updates related to products, fares, health and safety, and business changes.
  • Identify and manage improvement activities using dashboard metrics.
  • Collaborate with depot managers for seamless revenue protection and security activities across the network.
  • Act as an ambassador for the company, upholding its vision and values.
  • Ensure the safety of yourself, passengers, and colleagues at all times.
  • Collect and communicate information from team activities to relevant departments and contribute to creating a safe environment by addressing and reporting antisocial behaviour.
  • Encourage colleagues to report acts of crime, antisocial behaviour and byelaw offences internally and externally.

What we need from you:

  • This individual will need to have had experience managing a team and of working in a face-to-face customer service environment.
  • Knowledge of the Arriva Rail London Ticketless Travel regime would be highly advantageous, as well as a keen understanding of the laws in relation to the railway environment inclusive of railway bylaws, rules and regulations, prosecution policies, court procedures, railway security objectives and associative requirements.
  • The Revenue Protection & Security Manager will also need to have a strong understanding of health and safety in the workplace and will also ideally have knowledge of railway operations and station and ticketing retailing practice with a knowledge of the London Overground geography.
  • Any experience working within a revenue protection management role would be highly desirable as well as a proven track record of working in a highly regulated position.
  • You will need to have good analytical and numeracy skills, as well as excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a continuous improvement mindset and ability to prioritise and work flexibly.
