Purpose
You will be an Accounts minded / Analytically focused hands on finance professional with the drive to improve financial performance and challenge the status quo. You will drive effective financial planning, analysis, and insight to improve and influence strategic decision making. The ability to work well under pressure, as well as the ability to be adaptable, are both essential skills for this role, due to the varied nature of tasks.
The role requires regular travel to depots and office locations across the Region.
Main Responsibilities
- Acts as a bridge between the finance department and other business units, providing financial insights, analysis, and strategic guidance to support decision-making and drive performance.
- Working with key stakeholders to complete budget, forecasts, latest views and weekly estimates. Delivering accurate results, understanding and the production of varianceanalysis reports.
- Must be experienced in meeting deadlines and working under pressure on multiple priorities
- KPI driven focus, linking KPI performance to financial delivery. You will help analyse KPI performance identifying trends and generating thinking to help the business drive improved performance and possess problem solving skills.
- Ensure revenue and costs are allocated and released accurately to the P&L (driving an improved way of working with the shared service function).
- Involvement in building/supporting on business cases with the region and depots alongside project sponsors and leadership teams, providing insights and financial challenge.
- Demonstrate strong financial modelling skills, to cover various business requirements.
- Providing financial and analytical support to the Regional Franchising team.
- Supporting Site Managers to improve understanding of financial performance, as well as helping to drive efficiency.
- Working alongside peers to drive standardisation and best practice across the regional business.
Essential Postholder Requirements
- Qualified accountant/ qualified through experience with experience of delivery financial planning, analysis, insight and Control
- Strong business and commercial acumen and a proven track record of collaborating with business stakeholders to provide insights to support decisions
- Analytical approach and strong problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset
- Strong focus on delivery to tight deadlines including coordinating a wide array of stakeholders
- Practical experience working in a pressurised team environment with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Good interpersonal skills and influencing skills at all levels of an organisation
