PSV Mechanic – Join Arriva. Be part of the future of public transport with Arriva. We’re looking for skilled PSV Mechanics to help keep our fleet safe, reliable, and road-ready — including the latest electric buses and cutting-edge vehicle technology.
Salary: £26.35 per hour (£54,808 per year)
Employment Type: Full-time | 5 out of 7 shift rota - (mornings, afternoons late shifts)

What you’ll do:
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and safety inspections on buses
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and air system faults
- Repair engines, brakes, steering, suspension, and other vehicle parts
- Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections
- Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately
- Follow health safety procedures at all times
- Work closely with the workshop team
- Assist with breakdowns and emergency repairs when needed
- Keep the workshop clean and organised
- Manage and order parts when required
What we’re looking for:
- NVQ Level 3 / City Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
- PSV/HGV mechanical experience - preferably within a bus or coach environment
- Strong fault-finding diagnostic skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Full UK Driving Licence (PCV licence - Cat D highly desirable)
