What You’ll Be Doing Servicing, maintenance, and repair of PSV vehicles Mechanical and electrical fault finding and diagnostics MOT preparation and preventative maintenance inspections Vehicle safety inspections and quality control checks Roadside breakdown response and reactive repairs Using modern diagnostic equipment and workshop technology Working collaboratively within a skilled engineering team Shift work including earlies, lates, and weekends (5 days out of 7) What We’re Looking For Proven experience as a PSV/HGV mechanic or engineer (automotive, heavy vehicle, or rail considered) Level 3 qualification in Vehicle or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Full UK driving license (PCV/HGV desirable, but not essential) Electrical systems knowledge (desirable but not essential) Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern, including evenings and weekends What You’ll Get in Return £26.35 per hour 25 days holiday Structured engineering career progression PCV licence training provided if required Contributory pension scheme Ongoing training and development, including upskilling on electric vehicles and new technology Free bus travel for you and your household A supportive and collaborative team environment IRTEC accreditation support available Why Join Arriva?
