Commercial AnalystArriva LondonHelp shape the future of London’s bus networkArriva London is looking for a commercially minded and analytical Commercial Analyst to join our Commercial team and play a key role in developing competitive tender proposals for Transport for London (TfL) bus route contracts.This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of our London operation, combining commercial analysis, financial modelling, tender development and operational insight to support key business decisions.The roleWorking closely with the Commercial Revenue Manager and Head of Commercial Planning & Revenue, you’ll analyse financial and operational data, support our TfL tendering strategy and help identify opportunities to improve commercial performance.Your responsibilities will include:Developing high-quality and competitive TfL bus route tender submissionsBuilding, maintaining and improving tender models and commercial proposalsCosting tenders, MiniSpecs and other service changesAnalysing financial and operational information for prospective and existing routesReviewing contract performance against original tender expectationsSupporting the development of our rolling tendering strategyIdentifying opportunities to improve and automate commercial and tendering processesPreparing business cases, analysis and tender summaries for senior stakeholdersEvaluating the London bus market and competitor activityWorking with TfL on tender plans and network amendmentsSupporting negotiations to deliver the best outcomes for passengers and the businessSupporting route mobilisation following successful tendersCollating and analysing financial and operational data to support TfL claims and revenue processesWhat we’re looking forWe’re looking for someone who enjoys working with data but can also see the bigger commercial picture.You’ll ideally bring:Knowledge of TfL Bus tendering processesUnderstanding of the TfL Bus network and Bus Action PlanKnowledge of key accounting principles and commercial metricsStrong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skillsConfidence working with financial and commercial modelsStrong Excel and data analysis skillsAn interest in process improvement and automationThe ability to turn complex data into clear commercial recommendationsConfidence presenting information to senior stakeholdersStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsWhy Arriva London?As a Commercial Analyst, your work will directly contribute to decisions about how we compete for, operate and develop bus routes across London.You’ll gain exposure to senior leaders, TfL and colleagues across Commercial, Operations and Finance, while developing your experience within one of London’s major bus operators.At Arriva, safety is everyone’s responsibility, and we expect everyone to put the safety of our colleagues, passengers and communities at the heart of what they do.Ready for your next move?If you’re commercially curious, confident with data and want to use your analytical skills to help shape London’s bus network, we’d love to hear from you.Apply today and help us keep London moving.
