This is a high-impact finance role supporting the franchise leadership team and commercial functions in shaping, modelling, and delivering winning bids. The Senior Finance Manager will lead and support on financial modelling, scenario analysis, and commercial insight across franchise opportunities, while potentially managing a small team of finance analysts/modellers. They will also support on any other commercial activity where financial analysis and modelling is required. The role is suited to a commercially minded finance professional with strong modelling expertise who is looking to step into a broader strategic leadership pathway.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the financial modelling and scenario analysis for franchise bids, ensuring robust, accurate, and commercially sound outputs.
- Partner with the franchise leadership team to provide clear financial insight and constructive challenge.
- Support the development and submission of franchise bids, working closely with the Head of Finance - Franchising.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operational Excellence, Engineering, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment of assumptions.
- Build, maintain, and enhance financial models, ensuring consistency, transparency, and scalability.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of finance analysts / modellers.
- Drive continuous improvement in modelling approaches, tools, and governance.
- Ensure strong linkage between financial outputs and operational delivery assumptions.
Key Skills & Experience
- ~6-7 years' post-degree experience in finance (FP&A, commercial finance, or similar).
- Qualified accountant.
- Advanced financial modelling capability (expert-level Excel; experience with complex scenario modelling).
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence decision‑making.
- Experience supporting bids, tenders, or large‑scale investment cases (highly desirable).
- Proven experience managing and developing small teams.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence working with senior leadership.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
