An excellent and rewarding job opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious individual to join our garage as a Engineering Technician / Engineer reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, whilst maintaining the fleet of PCV vehicles here at our Darlington Depot (this will involve shift work including earlies, lates and weekends).
Responsibilities- Shifts are 5 over 7 Sunday to Saturday (hours to be confirmed at interview)
- Competitive Salary with x1.5 time overtime
- Servicing and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards.
- Continuous improvement of vehicle standards
- MOT preparation
- Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA)
- Knowledge of PSV / HGV maintenance with recognised qualifications (E.G level 3 NVQ)
- Can work safely and unsupervised to pre-set standards and guidelines
- Electrical knowledge is desirable but not necessary
- A PCV license is desirable but not necessary
- Inspection of vehicles for the scheduled maintenance (training can be provided) with IRTEC accreditation favourable
- £16.82-£18.95 per hour DOE
