We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift PSV Mechanict join our professional Engineering team at our Hemel Hempstead depot.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer with proven experience working on buses to play a key role in maintaining a modern and diverse fleet. You will be responsible for planned and preventative maintenance, fault diagnostics, and reactive repairs, ensuring vehicles consistently meet Arriva and DVSA standards.

Your Role

As a PSV Mechanic, you will:

Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs in line with Arriva and DVSA standards

Support continuous improvement in vehicle reliability and performance

Prepare vehicles for MOTs, complete planned preventative maintenance, and conduct quality checks

Diagnose faults and ensure fleet reliability exceeds DVSA requirements

Attend roadside breakdowns when required

Rota Pattern

You will work a rotating shift rota, covering 5 days out of 7 (Sunday to Saturday):

Day shift:08:30 – 16:30

Afternoon shift:14:00 – 22:00

Late shift: 16:30 – 01:00

What We’re Looking For

NVQ Level 3or equivalent in PSV or HGV Maintenance & Repair
International qualifications considered, subject to validation

Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points)

Ability to pass a PCV pre-employment medical
