As a Garage and Bus Cleaner at Arriva plc, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our bus fleet and depot facilities, ensuring a presentable and safe environment for both passengers and staff.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly clean the interior and exterior of buses, including seating, floors, windows, and driver's cabins.
  • Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish appropriately.
  • Clean and sanitise bus interiors, paying attention to high-touch surfaces.
  • Perform deep cleaning of buses as required, including scrubbing, polishing, and sanitising.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the bus garage and surrounding depot areas, including workshops, staff rooms, and welfare facilities.
  • Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Report any damage or maintenance issues identified during cleaning to the appropriate personnel.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company cleaning procedures.
  • Ensure adequate stock levels of cleaning supplies and report any shortages.

Job Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a cleaning role, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting, is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices relating to cleaning.
  • Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling tasks.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
  • A full UK driving license would be advantageous but is not essential.
