About Us: At Arriva TrainCare we provide high quality overhaul, maintenance and servicing of passenger rolling stock, locomotives, freight wagons and track plant. We operate throughout the UK from six strategic locations – Crewe, Bristol, Eastleigh, Cambridge, Tyne Yard and Scarborough. The Role: Working in our Crewe depot and reporting into the team leader you will be responsible for providing maintenance of rail vehicles to the laid down procedures.
What You’ll Do:
- Carry out work as allocated by the Service Delivery Leader within set timescales and to the recognised standards
- Operate (drive) rail vehicles as required, within depot operating limits, and in accordance with all relevant operating procedures
- Ensure that safety procedures and documents are adhered to in accordance with VMI & local instruction
- Ensure that work sheets are signed off promptly and correctly on completion of work
- Ensure that the appropriate Quality and Environmental procedures and work instructions are adhered to
- Attend technical, quality, safety and general briefings ensuring that the necessary action is taken on items raised
What You Bring:
- Qualifications: minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Engineering
- Experience: involvement and understanding of rail vehicle maintenance activities
- Knowledge: good understanding of depot operations with the ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Engineering: strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering
